Paseo por el Caroní y el OrinocoThis is a wonderful trip, high quality, it is worth, definitly "lekker" or "goed zo". If you haven't taken it yet, please don't waste your time, just make an space and go there with your family, friends o by yourself but go, it takes only 2 hours. In this trip my friend Adrian came with us, who gently took some amazing pictures, thanks a lot !!!.
The Caroní river es the largest river from the river basin Orinoco and it is caracterized for having a high influence of water falls wich are normally usable for hidroelectric plants. Its beauty is indescribable, with mountains in the way, jungles, beach, small islands, its color is dark blue becasue of the minerals and vegetal sustances. Its volume / wealth is strong. In the middle of the way the Caroní meets its friend the Orinoco river, to go away acompanied until the Altlántic OCean.
The Orinoco river is mighty per excelence, it is the largest in our country, and charged of mysteries. Its colour is brown, looks like dirty water and its temperature is warmer than the Caroní. I tell something: I had the experience to swing for 10 meters from Orinoco to Caroní river, just for feeling the differency between both temperatures and it was waaaaaaaaooooooo "super" terrific, of course we were wearing our life jackets and surpervised for the guide. Enjoy the photos and don't forget to take this trip...you can take the Catamaran in Puerto Ordaz in the Intercontinental Hotel (it's expensive) or in the restaurant (it's cheaper). After the trip you can take a dinner under the moon light at the restaurant, it is so romantic. So look for a coffee Este es un viaje sabroso, calidad, vale la pena, definitivamente cheverísimo. Si usted no lo ha tomado por favor no espere mas tiempo, haga el espacio y vaya con su familia, amigos o solo pero vaya, solo toma 2 horas. En este viaje nos acompañó mi gran amigo Adrián, quien muy gentilmente nos tomó unas fotos espectaculares.
El Caroní es el río mas largo de la cuenca del Orinoco y se caracteriza por tener una alta fluencia de saltos en su mayoría aprovechables para las represas de electricidad. Su belleza es indescriptible, hay montañas, selvas, playas, cayos, su color es negro por la cantidad de minerales y sustancias vegetales. Su caudal es fuerte. A mitad de camino se encuentra con su amigo, el río Orinoco, para irse acompañadito hasta caer al océano Atlántico. El Orinoco es caudaloso por excelencia, es el mas largo en nuestro país, y está cargado de misterios. Su color es marrón, como agua sucia y su temperatura es mas cálida que la del Caroní. Les cuento algo: tuve la experiencia de nadar 10 metros desde el Orinoco hasta el Caroní para sentir la diferencia de temperaturas y fué waaaaaaaao super formidable, claro siempre con nuestros salvavidas y orientados por el guía. Disfruten de las fotos, y no olviden darse un paseo por esos lados..... el catamaran lo toman en Puerto Ordaz en el Hotel Intercontinental (more expensive) o en el restaurante del ..... (por lo mas económico). Despues del viaje puede ir a cenar a la luz de la luna en el restaurante donde toma el catamarn, es una velada muy romántica. Bueno y ahora búsquese un

The geography of my country is full of many contrasts and beauty that we might spend decades to know each courner and enjoying the diversity of fauna, flora and what we really like: people.... By October 2005 we enjoyed a lot our vacation and I would like to start talking about the trip to Caroní and Orinoco rivers, then Cachamay Parck where we breathe air.., yes, pure air...after I would like to go in detail about the tour in Larestinga Lake.... uff so nice, and continue with the sunset in Juan Griego or swimming with the dolphins, so, ... lets go to the trip for the Caroní and Orinoco.
PD: This report is dedicated specially to the children of the school where I am working, just for the interest they showed me to know about my country.
..Hablar de un país con una geografía tan hermosa como Venezuela resulta bien sabroso, y mas todavía cuando se es venezolano.... La geografía de mi país está llena de tantos contrastes y belleza que podríamos pasar décadas conociendo cada rincón y disfrutando la diversidad de fauna, flora y lo que tanto nos gusta su gente.... En Octubre del año pasado disfrutamos mucho en nuestras vacaciones, y voy a comenzar a hablarles del paseo por el Caroní y el Orinoco, luego podría seguir con el Parque Cachamay donde se respira aire, si, aire.... Me encantaría detallarles acerca de mi visita por la laguna de larestinga...demasiado lindo y seguir con el atardecer en el fortin de Juan Griego o bien nadando con los delfines... comenzemos por el paseo por los ríos Caroní y Orinoco.
PD. Esta publicaión la dedico a los niños de la escuela donde estoy trabajando y quienes se mostraron muy interesados en conocer de mi país.
